When classroom instruction is followed up by a field trip to the refuge, it allows students to "see and experience" the connection between them and the natural world. Indeed, over the years, countless students, teachers, homeschoolers, youth group leaders, and literally thousands of children have been enriched by refuge environmental education programs.
