The refuge grounds are free of charge and open every day of the year from sunrise to sunset. The Cusano Environmental Education Center, also free of charge, is open from 8:30 AM till 4:00 PM daily, but will be closed on all federal holidays.

From the south:

Traveling on I-95 North, take Exit 10 to Rt. 291 towards airport.

At first traffic light, turn left onto Bartram Ave.

Follow Bartram Ave. 1.6 miles to first left onto 84th St. at light.

At second traffic light at 0.5 miles, turn left onto Lindbergh Blvd.

Follow Lindbergh Blvd. to first stop sign. Refuge entrance is on the right.

From the north:

Traveling on I-95 South, after the Girard Pt. Bridge, take Exit 14 at Bartram Ave.

At the bottom of the ramp, go straight onto Bartram Ave.

At the fifth light, turn right onto 84th St.

At the second light, turn left onto Lindbergh Blvd.

Follow Lindbergh Blvd. to first stop sign. Refuge entrance is on the right.

From I-76, the Schuykill Expressway:

Traveling on I-76 East, stay in left lanes after passing the 28th St.exit.

Follow signs for Rts. 291 West.

At the light, turn right onto Rte. 291 West. Go over the Platt Bridge.

Stay in left lane as you come off the bridge - do NOT go on to I-95 South.

At end of exit ramp, bear right onto Island Ave.

At first traffic light, turn left onto Bartram Ave.

Go to first traffic light and turn right onto 84th St.

Go to second traffic light and turn left onto Lindbergh Blvd.

Follow Lindbergh Blvd. to first stop sign. Refuge entrance is on the right.

From I-476, known locally as The Blue Route:

Tarveling on I-476 towards Chester/Philadelphia, stay in left lanes after passing Exit 1 on I-476.

Follow signs for I-95 North toward Philadelphia and airport.

From I-95 North, get off at exit 10, for Rte. 291 North.

At first light, turn left onto Bartram Ave.

At fifth light, turn left onto 84th St.

At the second light, turn left onto Lindbergh Blvd.

Follow Lindbergh Blvd. to first stop sign. Refuge entrance is on the right.
